New construction inspection

New construction inspection:

Our new construction inspection comprises of 5 stage inspections conducted throughout the construction procedure with free re-inspection* and free thermal inspection* valued at $350 each.

* Re-inspection refer to the inspection of the rectification work of the previous stage, eg: your inspector will re-inspect defective items at Fixing Stage of previous Lockup Stage. Please be advised the PCI/pre-handover inspection will be the final inspection of the package and no re-inspection occurs afterwards.

*Thermal imaging inspection at PCI will be included in the package free of charge.

By inspecting all of 5 major stages, we ensure that at every stage it is built to meet NCC (National Construction Code) and Australian standards, assuring you will be getting a quality built dream home you deserve to have.

Slab pre-pour inspection:

This is an inspection of your home's base, piers, Vapour barrier, termite barrier/collar, steel and formwork prior to pouring concrete, to ensure site has been properly constructed and ready for concrete to be poured (usually the following day of inspection).

Framing stage inspection:

This is an inspection to inspect and determine if the wall and roof frames are structurally sound and constructed in accordance with the National Construction Code, the framing Australian Standard 1684, engineering plans, bracing & panel plans and framing plans.

Lock-up stage inspection:

The lock-up stage inspections should be carried out when a home’s external wall cladding and roof covering is fixed, the flooring is laid and the external doors and windows are fixed to the frame (even if those doors and windows are only temporary).

Fixing stage inspection:

This inspection is conducted upon completion of plaster linings and waterproofing membrane to all wet areas. Before the tiles are laid, our inspector will check to ensure the plaster board and waterproofing installation is compliant.

PCI/Pre-handover inspection:

Handover or Final stage inspections are also called Practical Completion Inspections (PCI) and Pre-handover Inspections.

At handover inspection we check that all the work completed “in a proper and workman like manner” ensuring that the workmanship meets the industry standard.
